It's most likely just a way for the seller to advertise the car without paying ebay fees. Nobody is going to bid but I am sure he will get many emails. Listing on ebay yesterday was free so asking this price puts him at the top of the Viper list at no cost. He is most likely selling a lot cheaper.

He says it is the "First year"....but it is a 93???

Then he says it still has the plastic on the side pipes???

(This is a perfect MINT Brand VIPER. Only 1k miles plus 900 miles!!! This car is just like the day it was made. Still has factory Plastic on the SIDE PIPES, and Seats are like BRAND NEW. Still has the new smell. ALL hand build only 1,000 were made. This is the first production year. WITH FACTORY ORIGINAL Side EXHAUST PIPES>>> only years of the Side pipes was 92 , 93, 94, There were only 2,200 vipers ever made with SIDE PIPES. Now thats not many)

Yes, Ebay usually charges $40 to list. However, they did run a promotion on the 26th for free listings...

"Nobody is going to bid but I am sure he will get many emails"

Now somebody needs to explain this to me....

WHY would you ever want to e-mail to this dude??

I would simply pass him as an idiot and not a serious seller and try something that is "reasonably" in my price range. Which I did and bought my Viper 2 years ago.

Looks to me like it may have been his father's car. Seems like a kid maybe 16 selling it. Trying to cash out. Just repeating what his father told him about it. Not very knowledgeable about the market and Vipers.

"RedEnuf93,
nice avatar. But what is it doing in the SNOW??
Shouldn't it be in a nice warm hibernation garage?
Mine is till spring.
JIM"

Hibernation???? WHAT hibernation?????

Ok Jim, it is right now in heated garage, but I could not resist to take a picture of it in the fresh fallen snow....
(besides the Pilots are good tires in the snow, but definately great tires...)
I am putting on cross drilled rotors,Green pads, new wheels, tires, paint the facia (lower part of it, really vise? since I'm dropping the car 1"...),paint/blast the exhaust covers, B&M shifter, Gen 2 Headers + 3" exhaust, Eicbach springs and so on... It will shed its skin before spring, like all snakes do!
I can hardly wait to get back to Chucks B-B-Q!!!!

I exchanged some emails with this guy to just to let him know that we are not ALL idiots!! He still believes 93 to be the first year and that no vipers made in 95 had side pipes even after me sending him links to get his facts straight!! It takes all kinds.

BTW, how do you drive over 1500 miles with plastic on the side pipes??!!

I'm with Kurt... in the ad he posts:

"...Only 1,000 were built the Side pipes were on the vipers from 1989 to 1994.. In 1995 the side pipes were dropped. (however some of the 1994s where not actually completed untill the first part of 1995.!! But for the 1995 models NO SIDE PIPES where made. In 1994 - 1995 Dodge made engine changes that caused some MAJOR engine defects that resulted in factory recalls for models 1994 - 1995, The defects were corrected in 1996. Therefore if you want a
VIPER with factory side pipes the strongest engines were 1989 1992 and 1993 and 2003 I believe this information to be accurate..."

I'm not sure what is funnier.... the fact he believes that any of us can by an '89 Viper (umm, it's in the DCX museum) or that no side pipe cars were made in '95..... certainly good for a strong belly laugh

Jay,
I sent this guy several links to our site so that he could at least get the number of Vipers made correct. He informed me that he does not believe everything he reads. Well by looking at his ad, it appears that everyone should adopt his why of thinking!!

Funny thing, I even sent him an ebay link for a green/tan 1995 Viper with several pics. Wouldn't you know it, the car had sidepipes!! Have not heard from the guy since!!!
