Check to make sure you plugged back in the IAT sensor (passenger side, lower end of airbox. For it to come back on that fast, something sounds like it is disconnected. Check other connections like the TPS sensor (driver side throttle body), and the Idle air tube, etc..
Then reset the computer (disconnect ground), and see if it comes back on.
