Ok, this guy says it is a "clean fixer upper". New this car is at least 80g. Now, how much $$$$ do you think all that damage will cost? I am guessing at least 30k.

"Almost New"

Needs:

Damaged LH front & RH rear quarter

front LH upper frame damaged

***some suspension damage*** If this is messed up, there has to be more "underlying" problems.

Needs new intake, hoses, radiator, lots of engine stuff ------> Expensive?

I wasn't over reacting when I freaked out? I mean, starting at 15k, and knowing it will need at the mnimum 30+k of work, isn't that kinda dumb? Even with a clean title, you will still have a "wrecked viper". This thing might only cost 20k if not less then a brand new one, or a totally mint used one when it finally "done". Is this about right?

That would take courage to buy unless you planned to part it out.

Viper....I am glad I wasn't overreacting. I looked at i as only a parts car. Not "worth" fixing up. I always look at cars like this, if its that much damage, there tons mroe unseen damage there.

ARE THEY INSANE!!!!!! Don't they realize it's gonna take at least that much to fix it? You will always have a wrecked car, regardless of title. Unless I am missing osmething, that is seriously f'ed up.

These people have no clue.

That car is going to cost at least 30k to fix, and probably a whole lot more. And that is if you dont replace the whole front of the frame, in which case the car will never be as good as new again.

I think its the "kid in a candy store" type of syndrome. They see somethign they want, and they "have to have it". Unless they have some rich friend to part it for 10x the value, or have some other ungodly unimagineable plans, these people are gonna be pissed when they find out tis gonna cost in total, at least ten grand more then a new one to have completely fixed.

ouch!

Be fine as a race or street/race car - a good chassis machine will get it straight again, you can improvise and not worry about being totally stock - but as a resale vehicle - it'll take one dedicated individual - and it won't be me :smirk:

Pulled from auction? What gives?

Damn, I was really looking forward to seeing a post from someone 1 year from now saying this viper cost him a grand total of 100k to rebuild.
