I saw a pretty cool chrome license plate holder at Walmart with two cobras - one on the top-left and one on the top-right corner, with their bodies squiggling down the side of the plate holder.

My question is do you think this is too "cheezy"?

Also, a "Cobra" is not a "Viper", but it is a "snake". Same species anyway.

Actually doesn't the Cobra fall under the "family" of vipers? (i.e. species, family, genus, class, etc.) If so, there's a nice connection. Any anthrologists here to answer that one? ;)

Plus, the Viper does owe part of its heritage to the Cobra. So there's a good connection there as well...

Just seems kinda lame buying a license plate holder from Walmart. LOL!

What do you guys & gals think?

Sounds lame to me but I have never been a fan of 'wally world'. I myself wouldn't put it on my car but that's just me.

Yeah, I thought about checking out MGW's site for license plate holders... Very happy with some of their other accessories I have purchased.

Too bad their site is down right now. :(

I know the exact one you are talking about and it does kinda look cool, but as soon as it goes on the Viper is looks cheezy as hell... go with MGW... That frame is better suited on a 98 mustang cobra...

Venomous snake lesson: Cobras are not in the same snake family as vipers. Vipers have hollow fangs in the front of their mouths. The vipers in the New World (Americas) are pit vipers, distinguished by a triangular head and a heat sensing pit behind the nostrils. Of our 4 poisonous snakes in the US, three are pit vipers -- rattlesnake, copperhead, water moccasin. The 4th, the coral snake, is not a viper but is actually in the same snake family as the cobra. Asp's and adders are vipers. (Guess I watched too much Animal Planet.)

Hey I've parked the SRT in Babies R Us in the "Expecting Mom" parking space. Lots of looks but my wife was 8 month pregnant at the time so there were no requests to move.

In today's time Cobra = Mustang that is the perception.

EX: "Why has that Viper got a Mustang tag frame on it?" :)

Total cheeze, unless it's on a Mustang Cobra.

Does anyone know of a license plate holder that is wide enough on the sides to fill the width of the space available? I think it could serve to make the rear end look even wider, which would be kinda cool.

thanks but the MGW one does not even come close to filling out the sides of the license plate. I have seen one that I like, but I have no idea where to get one like it.
