10 minutes ago I'm watching the CBS Evening news with Katie Couric and they are discussing people getting farther in debt and businesses barley hanging on when all of a sudden they are interviewing Chuck Tator at his garage. You see the Vipers in the back ground and Chuck is discussing how tuff things are and barely keeping his head above water Hang in there Chuck, and thanks from all of us small business guys trying to keep our head above water also!

This is sad. I just got my car back from Chuck on Saturday. It was in his shop for three weeks. All I can say is he and his staff (Rob++) did an excellent job on my Gen IV SSG Roadster. They installed an Autoform roll bar and handled the R&R of my transmission. I'm not a track guy but I have made several 1000+ mile runs in the car and I wanted an extra margin of safety for me and my wife. The tranny was upgraded by John Donato of Donato Engineering. I got the new 2010 spec 5th gear, a new 0.63 6th gear and the new T6060 carbon fiber lined syncros. Chuck handled all the shipping of the tranny out to Michigan and changed the car's fluids. He called me as things progressed and even after I got home. I have over 500 miles on the Viper since picking it up and it is flawless. If anyone needs work on any generation Viper you would not find better hands to trust than Chuck Tator.

All of us in the Viper community were saddened by what happened to Tator's Dodge dealership with the loss of his franchise. However, it seems to me the problem arose not with the government's bailout requirements but long before with the mismanagement of GM and Chrysler in loosing market share. How do you watch your market share drop by a few percentage points year after year and not change your practices?

Bill Clinton and Barney Franks with their No Money Down, No Income Check, Interest Only Unsecured Mortgages because "everybody has a right to own a home and the values will never go down." Followed by Obama and his Cronies voting against the Bush lending reform bills and all those Homeowners walking away. That's a good start and then of course the root of the problem is Democrats protecting the self serving Unions that make the American auto industry non-competitive not to mention what the unions have done to public education in the US. Then the Dems demonize Wall street and the banking industry for reaping the benefits of the unsustainable bubble that the irresponsible lending created.

It's far from over too... Wait until the Obamacare and Tax increase take their toll on small businesses.

Chuck and his family have run a business for over 96 years. obama ran a business for 0 years. During that time Tator's Garage has endured WW1, WW2, the great depression, Korean war, Vietnam, 70's gas shortages, Chrysler almost going out in the 80's, Economic Ebbs and Flows, you name it. Obama can't even take the criticism of a Tea party? I guess it's ok to be a community organizer as long as it's for the right community. Obama sat in the "Ivory Tower" of education being some pseudo intellectual condeming his own grandmother for being racist while defending his preacher Rev. Wright. To me Chuck is a real American hero and people like him ARE the backbone of this country! Peole like O want to break the backs of people like Chuck while blaming the problems on him. Any one that would condem Chuck or anyone like him and be supportive of O is showing their true colors and someone I wouldn't want to be affiliated with.
