I've got vinyl stripes on my viper. They can get pretty dirty. I've noticed if I use some heavy duty cleaner, they get really nice and white.. Does anyone know of any sure fire tricks to get all the grime and dirt off of them without using some carb cleaner or gasoline?? yikes!!..

The cleaner my car is the more HP it makes.. But you all knew that already. Ever wonder why your car runs better after you wash it??

I've always had great results using a car wax. I use the 3M swirl remover on the various decals I had on the car to remove tire rubber marks and stuff.

Cleaning Vinyl Stripes on a viper.. any hints?

I find a spot of washing up liquid in water is really helpful, after a drive espicially in the summer I give the nose and hood a quick wipe over, this removes the bugs easier. I've found some insects stain the vinyl if left and more effort is needed to remove them, (then I use a liquid polish)There are industrial vinyl cleaners on the market but have never used them on a car.

I assume you are specifically talking about the rear stripes by exhaust tips up. mine turn a yellow/brownish color if I dont wash the car everytime I drive it. Dam no cats

I got some clear coat safe polishing/rubbing compount from walmart. Its real mild and takes the grim off easy without scratches or damage.
