HI,
What are your guys thoughts?
I have no power to the fuel pumps... I can jump the fuel pumps direct from the battery and they work.
The 15 amp fuse in the box is good. I do not currently have a way to test the relay, but I swapped it for a different one w/same part # in the box..still no power to the pumps.. She was running down the HWY at normal speeds & she just stopped w/ no check engine light, I'll be able to put a scanner & voltmeter on it tomorrow. Any suggestions?

2004 Vert, with a host of goodies..

Have you checked ASD 1 fuse ? That fuse blows with some frequency on early G III's...and would also be associated with no starter action.

Other causes of the scenario you describe have been loose ground straps.

More info would help.

I have not checked the ASD 1 fuse... it cranks but no start. i have not checked for spark yet..
I'll dig more into it tomorrow. i did speak to a tech and he thought that they only send power for 2-5 seconds to the pump till it sees oil pressure.
I'll either have more answers or more questions tomorrow. :)
Thanks!

If it cranks over, not ASD 1 fuse. ASD relay may shut off both fuel and spark if PCM does not detect engine startup within 1-2 seconds as tech said. PCM needs to see signal from crank sensor, can sensor, MAP sensor, and upstream O2 sensor for start/run. Looking for CEL/codes may help...along with checking major connectors..starting at PCM. It would be interesting to know the voltages seen at fuel pump relay socket for pin 86 with ignition off and on. Also socket for pin 30 should have 12 volts all the time. You could try jumping socket 30 to 87 as a TEMPORARY TEST to see if fuel pump turns on. if yes, bad relay or socket wiring likely.

See if you have Pump Prime at key-on, as that is independent of all sensor inputs, and then you need to test to see if you have Relay actuation or not to see if the issue is on the control side, or the load side.

Also, it would help to know how you wired this whole setup... because "pump(s)" doesnt track if its stock.
