I didn't have to take my wheels off, if you turn the wheel completely to one side, it will give you adequate room on the oposite side to work with... it seemed like plenty of room when I installed mine.

it just looks like that inside nut is going to be a little difficult.
thanks guys

That was my problem. I couldn't get my forarm in enough, so I had to remove the wheel.

Where did you buy the clear side markers? I, like you, have white stripes on my car. I bet they look good with the white stripes...right?

These are the side markers below the headlights and above the foglights...right?

Thanks

FLX109, I bought them also, so I guess it is easier if you remove the wheel to get your arm through the access opening? I tried with the wheel on, and turned out, but I could not turn the retaining bolt, seems to be very long threads, how did you do???

I started to do it and said forget it, the car is too closed in on one side to get a jack under it the way I stored it for the winter, I will have to wait for the weather to break to turn it around, thats why I was hopeing I could do it with the wheel on.

I did mine without taking off the wheels. It's easy but it can be done. If you can get hold of an extra deep set of sockets it helps to get them tight. I had a set that has a coil spring so you can flex the shaft. You guy's with big arms might have to pull the tire.
Don't drop the nut, there hard to find inside the bumper.

Well I tried again but this time I thought about it first, I took out the 5 facia screws that hold the facia to the wheel well, in front of the tire, very simple, the facia slid away very easy and gave me a 3-4" gap and was able to reach in and disconnect the side marker and light bulb, took about 5 minutes each side, I didn't even have to move the car, jack it, remove the tire or even turn the wheel.
This worked out great.

Try just removing thebolts holding the front facia along the wheel well, then just gently pull facia out to get clearance for yor arm. my arms will not fit through the access hole wheel on or off, the way i do them you don't have to jack up car or even turn wheels.

QUESTION - i have been thinking of doing this to my car as well. After the clear marker has been installed, are you required to install a yellow bulb, or does it matter?
