Hi there,

since I could no more put in the reverse gear I got a new whole gear in DC garage for warranty! But just I must loosen the pedal nearely to the end of raising to connect clutch
Before the changing it was in about the first 30% :)
My mechanicians said all things will be good
I said I can not really believe on it because that car will be used especially for racings too and I can not introduce that the raceing driver can that handle good
He asked me if I was driven in racing cars just...
I said no... he said :smirk:

Have You an idea which is an good distance for the pedal?

Thanks!

Juergen, the idea position for the pedal is in the middle of its travel. To close to the top, would lead me to believe it's not fully engaging.

Hi Juergen,

I have replaced two problematic clutch / pressure plate combinations in my 04 Viper. Both had problems with the pressure plate bolts coming loose, i.e., not properly tightened. My clutch is now working as it should and has about 3/4 to 1 inch of "freeplay". That means that it begins to disengage very close to the full up position. It also engages very high, more like 70% up from the floor. This is as it should be. You will like it when you get accustomed to it.

It sounds like you had poorly torqued pressure plate bolts too. Mine got so bad that I couldn't put the car in gear.

Good luck,

Dan
