Is there any other signs to look for besides grinding gears that your clutch is getting worn out? I'm not grinding gears, but I am feeling small amount of rattling in my clutch pedal. Not often but sometimes. Any idea what that might be? 1st gear can sometimes be a little sticky to get into if the clutch is not pushed in all the way.

Worn clutch = a slipping clutch

Chattering on engagment = typically an oil contaminated disc

Your symptoms sound more like a weak slave or clutch master cylinder with perhaps a tired throw out bearing

I agree... a "worn", slipping clutch has different symptoms. Try upshifting one too many gears, and pushing the accelerator down all the way quickly (ie, try a 4th gear pull at 40mph). If the revs skyrocket, you might have a worn disc (or pressure plate). If the revs don't skyrocket, then your disc is PROBABLY fine.

I would lean towards oil on the disc, or worn synchros with your case...

speaking of clutches; it seems to be the general concensus that replacing the stock clutch with another factory mopar one is the best thing and secondly; how many miles are average before having to replace? im at 30k and doing fine (so it seems)

Okay, I think my clutch is fine..I was messing with my Viper tonight and I'm getting a vibration feel when I press my brakes and it has nothing to do with my rotors. I think it may be coming from something else shaking. I will have to check my exhaust, maybe I have a pipe hitting the frame. I can't imagine my syncros going bad right now. My car still has low miles on it and never tracked.

And the stock clutch / pressure plate assembly (LUK) is actually one of the more reasonably priced Viper replacement parts. Not from Dodge of course, but from some of our supporting vendors.
