Is it just me or do others find the response in the clutch is at the very top? In My other Vipers I had to push the pedal in quite far but I find in the SRT I have to depress the pedal very little. Anyone else find this the same in their SRT?
I changed the clutch in my RT this winter. The release/engage point is very close to the floor. Maybe even a little lower than I remember with the old clutch. The SRT is pretty normal with the release point close to mid-travel. Neither is an issue except when switching from one car to the other. Both engage with the same amount of slip/grab so it is not too much trouble switching back and forth.
I wish my SRT had the disengagement point up closer to the top. Makes for a quicker shift, and easier to drive overall. Doesen't matter how close to the top as long as there is still a little free play at the top.
Not only is the engagement close to the top, but the take up action is very smooth, and easily to regulate. Makes driving the car easier and smoother. Really getting to like this car.
After adjusting the pedals a few times, the engagement point changed! it went from 4 inches to near the top. I'm now afraid to move the pedals again, for fear of the 'soft' pedal coming back. I don't know how this was possible, but it happened. Maybe it was air in the lines?
