Any recomendations for a new clutch? Anyone use anything by McLeod? I used a kevlar twin disc on my old blown TA, held excelent!

I'll be doing the aluminum flywheel while i'm in there

Clutch still feels strong, but it's going on 34K miles on.

The clutch on my 99 GTS had gone 'soft' in only 12,000 street miles (and about 3 road course track days) so I got a Fidanza aluminum flywheel and kevlar clutch from the Parts Rack.

My local Dodge dealer (Timberline - thank's Ken) installed the clutch and flywheel and the labor was covered under warranty.

I like the feel of the new clutch. It is nice and light and is easy to drive. It engages close to the floor and acts like the factory clutch as far as being able to slip a little to get started. I'm not a drag racer, but I think some guys are using this clutch on their drag cars.

The only odd thing is that it is a 2 point adder for Viper days. I understand an adder for an aluminum flywheel, but the clutch hardly seems like a performance enhancement for road racing.

MadMaxx, are you gonna tackle this job yourself at home? If so, do you have a nifty tool to support and drip the tranny?

I have a gizmo that attaches to the floor jack, but it results in needing more clearance under the car than typical Jack stands will provide...

Maybe a nice special purpose tranny jack is the answer.

I may do this at home. My ramps I made give me enough room to get under the car, and I have a transmission jack (about 13" tall, works great). I'll probably jack the car up once it's on ramps for extra clearance.

I need a lift
