In answer to your question about your unbearable ACR shocks:
They may rattle, but they are DEFINITELY not supposed to leak. That's your
ticket to new shocks, baby.
I do NOT know how or why mine doesn't rattle, but it doesn't. Mine is a
late '99 car--maybe they changed sometning in the shocks late.
After 19,000 miles, my only complaint is that my front shocks, lower
adjustment, does not turn. I'm working with me dealer right now on that
issue to get them fixed.
Try a different dealer, and don't give up!
