I am trying to organize a trip on Sunday, June 17th to the Gingerman for Viperdays with our local West Michigan Mopar Club. Any and all Viper owners in the area are also invited. We will meet at 9:00 AM at the Club Car restaurant for breakfast. The restaurant is about 2 miles west of the "D" Avenue exit off of Route 131, (Exit 44), this highway runs north (and South) just to the west of Kalamazoo, Michigan, and up past Grand Rapids, and the exit is about 15? miles north of Kalamazoo. From the restaurant we will travel to the track with some older Mopar iron as well as any and all Vipers that want to attend. It's only $10.00 for admission per person, and it is a blast to watch these guys race! We did this last year and everyone had a great time. Please e-mail me for more information. It's a good idea to bring a lunch and suntan lotion, oh, and a camera. The Gingerman is a great track with wonderful facilities. It's a great way to spend Father's Day!

Dear Jeff ,
Quit going out with Bush's daughter's down there in Tejas, as I am afraid the alcohol is causing you a mild loss of memory. My name is Bill , and Woodhouse's name is Bob, and though my last name is Pemberton, just don't tell my wife you are now calling me the "****." I shall be announcing the Viper Days Wheel to Wheel Races ( 22 cars at present ), and at no time while you are in the infield will I announce your nickname. But, the minute you are on the track I will proudly announce it to the attended throng.Look forward to seeing you #@%$#@, and your secret is safe - for about a week,ha.

No Jeff you have it all wrong. First off you have to bid 20 bucks on something does not matter what it is and Second you have to be a "****" like Bill. Well the second one I think you already have down pat.

Jeff, Jeff, Jeff, I was just doing a little Kneebraskie smackdown. I was just giving you a hard time about calling me Bob, but it happens all the time, since I work for the " Big Woodie! " Our nicknames are nothing compared to Woodhouse's, and I definitely didn't take any offense from your note - just joking back without gloves on. I was nicknamed " **** " in college because everyone thought my name was Pimperton, so no big deal. It follows generations, as my son's High School nickname is " Pimpie. " Will look forward to seeing you at Gingerman, and you will be kicking my butt ( cause I'm not driving ). Now if my son passes you, then you should worry, cause he won't be driving a Viper. He is going to take his first racing "Instructional School, " with Viper Days, and I am going to be the proud father on the sidelines snapping pictures. See you soon and it sounds like alot of folks from the Indiana, Illinois, and Michigan Regions are coming over to watch or compete, so it should be a great turnout.

Thanks for the responses guys! I hope we can get a few Vipers to come to the track with us along with some old Mopar Iron. I have no idea how many will show, as I think most of them will just be paying the $10.00 admission price at the gate. We will have a 16 year old coming along with us who is just crazy about Vipers (he knows all the stats on 'em, but has never been in one ever. It'll be his birthday present to go to Viperdays on Sunday, and I hope that one of you guys can manage to take him around the track for a few laps, he'd just love that. I want to take him around at lunch time when we follow Skip Thomas around the track like last year. My wife came with me last year, and she was screaming the whole time to "Slow down, you're going too fast!" I was hardly moving, or so I thought, it was just starting to be fun! She says that she won't go with me this year on the track! I don't know why, but I did manage to hit 95 mph on the long back straightaway last year, that was pretty good for me, as the year before the best I did was 90. That track is great! I just don't want to get hooked on road racing, can't afford it, but would really love to learn more and sharpen my driving skills. Couldn't make the school this year, don't have a hard top yet, that'll come next year.

If he goes for a ride in Jeff's he better hang on! Bring a helmet is a understatement, have him bring a change of clothes.

Jeff, thanks for the offer. The 16 year old is not my son, but a guest that is coming with us. I'm sure he would love to go for a ride, however, I do not have a helmet for him, but I think we should be able to borrow one for the ride. His mom is coming along also, so I'll get Skip's OK tomorrow, I hope, and then his mom will have the final say on it. Jason, thanks for the tip. I'll give him the word about a change of clothes. I'm sure Jeff will take it easy with a passenger on board.

Don,
Skip Thomas takes us around the track at lunch if you go for the $40.00 package. The $40.00 includes entrance to the track, lunch for one, and an event tee shirt. Additional lunches are $15.00 each. If you do decide to come with us, please see me at the meeting place on my first post. There's not much time for us to get arund the track at lunch, shut down time is not very long. But it is still fun, and you follow Skip to get the "line" around the track. There is more "track time" at the Viper Wars" in August during lunch hour, as you can "volunteer" your Viper to take spectators around the track for two laps apiece, but the Viper racing is what we go for on Father's day. You will see folks form all over the US there on Saturday and Sunday. So if you want to talk "Viper", that is the time, everyone is very friendly and the track is one of the best in the US.
