Jon, thanks for responding to my desperate phone call to get that message out. What a terrible day! The good news is I think I've got everything cleaned up and restored.
I have McAfee protection, but apparently this thing came is as a new strain of a W32/Bad Trans virus originated on November 24th, and remained a ticking time bomb until 10am this morning. I was sitting at my desk with my e-mail files open, but inactive. I watched in amazement as the hard drive all of a sudden started grinding, followed shortly by the appearance of some refusal notices from other ISP's. I shut it down real quick, so I hope not too many got out.
It blows my mind because I NEVER open an attached file from a strange source..... just delete them. I had not even opened ANY such files for the last TWO days prior to this surprised.
Just to be safe, don't open ANY attached files from me for several days, unless I send a PRIOR message first, alerting you the file is coming in a second one. Sheesh..... some people are so SICK!
Sorry if this caused anyone else problems
