Was looking on Google maps street view at the Conner Avenue plant:
20000 Conner Avenue, Detroit, MI 48234, USA

sad ....abandoned...empty

Was wondering what became of all the historical cars and "artifacts" that were stored there on display? All that machinery just sitting there idle too....

Actually quite nice to see the paint job on the sign denoting just Chrysler Corp.!

I like how they put gray vinyl over "Daimler" on the sign out front.

Interesting to explore area with Google street view.
There are residential houses across the street down a block.
Talk about mixed zoning...

Definitely a 'neighborhood' setting. Actually, when the plant was in full production, it looked JUST as deserted on weekends and evenings as it does now. I think things should be picking up in the next few months......

Historic cars were moved to the WPC Museum facilities....many of them were at VOI-11

Much of the artwork is stored, including 2 large prints PartsRack had on loan for several years !

GoogleMaps info is NOT current. Probably closer to 2-3 years old.
And thus the change in signage out front.
Comparing GoogleMaps Street View vs. Bob B's picture tells me it's about 2 years....and probably on a Sunday.
