I've sprung a leak- coolant is on the ground just behind the motor. There is a wet spot on the top rear of the engine.

Thoughts and suggestions would be for repair cost/planning purposes.

Thanks,

Eric

chuck comes through!

Based on a picture I sent Chuck is pretty confident that it's not serious.

He suggested I tighten the thermostat housing and add anti-freeze.

Tomorrow we'll now for sure.

It's gonna take a little more than just tightening it- The Thermostat housing is going to be pulled apart and the gaskets replaced- I also have to replace the temperature sending unit. (It fell off in my hand while looking for the leak.)

Chuck has already sent the parts, and I'm ready to go for a Saturday installation. Anyone looking for something to do Saturday is welcome to stop by! :)

All set now! I had to remove the coil-pack on the firewall to make room to take put the crossover and thermostat housing. After cleaning things up and placing the gaskets i put it back in two pieces (much easier) Next time I think I'll take off the intake covers!

Added coolant through a couple of heat cycles to purge the air. Topped off with just about 1gallon.

In all it was 82 dollars in parts and about 5 hours of work.
