Cowl Weathertrip

I KNOW the accepted method is to remove the strip from the OEM cowl when going to an aftermarket or vented cowl. BUT, is there any way to replace this with a NEW strip or does anyone know of a company that makes a similiar strip?

There is no strip available that I know of. I have a extra one but I was going to use it on a vented cowl I just got.

I might post pics and see if people out there can find a replacement.

I think he's looking for the rubber strip only. I had a helluva time getting one as well. I ended up getting one that's used for window stripping that kinda matches. But the stock one still fits better. BTW I already checked McMaster Carr.

Yeah - I have the new vented cowl. I just want/ need the weatherstrip.

I changed cowls several yrs ago.Even Chuck said not available.Carefully remove from old cowl and glue to new cowl. GTS Bruce
