Has anyone put the SnakeOyl cruise control unit on a 2002 GTS or RT/10?
Thankx.
Thankx.
Good point to emphasize. Its been a couple of years since I installed mine, and I seem to recall finding multiple instances of the same color coded wire in that wiring harness, so you have to be very careful to match the wire to the back of the engine-compartment side of the C-100 connector to know exactly which one is the one you are splicing into. I have the factory service manual, and used it extensively to double-check the included wiring instructions.Pay close attention to the position of the harness plug on the directions and don't get it backwards. I've been wiring cars for years and almost got me there. Good Luck it works great.
I think the real question is how often does someone use a cruise control. Of course, this isn't really much of a concern to those who only have garage queens, though. All of you must give me your Vipers and are hereby sentenced to a lifetime of driving Corvettes.
Where would I find the cruise control kit for a 2002 RT/10 and at what cost? Also, do you know of anyone in the Tampa, Florida area that has and can install for me?
Hey George,
Glad you got it all figured out. I wish I would have taken pictures of each step along the way as it would have made it a lot easier for others to see how it is done. The instructions are marginal at best...but the product is great.
If you happened to take any pictures, you should put together a step by step instructional post for others to reference.
Take care
Lance
