Well after 1 full year of ownership i must say the car is almost :rolaugh: 100% complete now. The stock sound system as some of you know is HORRIBLE and was in desperate need of an upgrade. I decided to go with a complete alpine setup this time around. One of my friends owns an audio shop and i gave him free reign to do whatever he wanted as far as fabrication and design goes. I wanted something to sound great, not too much bass and something that could help win a show if i wanted, he accomplished just that.

A HUGE THANKS TO ERIC for doing all the work, i will post up his company info for you IL folks looking for TOP notch audio work, he is the best around.

The setup includes...

Alpine CDA-9885 Headunit with Ipod connectionAlpine SPR-17S - Type-R - 6-1/2" Component 2-Way Speaker (Fronts)
Alpine PS-17C2 - Type-S - 6-1/2" Coaxial 2-Way Speaker (Rears)
Alpine SWX-1243D Type-X - 12" Subwoofer (Just 1)
Alpine PDX-1.1000 Amplifier
Alpine PDX-4.150 Amplifier
1 Farad Capacitor

Now for the pictures of the finished product. Some of you might think its too much but i love it and it sounds great. Keep in mind the lights are ONLY on when the hatch is opened, not while driving down the road.

Looks great. I thought about doing that a few years ago but ended up with something more conservative. Didn't want to block the vents and blow out my ears. Do you notice any resonance driving with your window down?

Wow looks great, but man that must have cost alot of $. How much we talking if you don;t mind me asking?

NOT expensive at all man. Thats why i continue to go to this guy. He is the best and his prices beat everyone by far.
I'd say like 2K in equipment and another 2K for labor, wires, paint, install, ect...

It was all under 5K when done. :D

Looks awesome Mike! I may have to look your guy up to get a system this summer. I have a feeling the stock stereo will not get loud enough to overcome the exhaust on my car!!

Some people probably have no idea how much work went into that stereo system. I used to do car audio systems, it was a passion of mine. That system is worthy of national USAC or IASCA competition. It is one of the cleanest and most unique installs I've ever seen in a sports car. Whoever designed that system has exceptional talent.

Phenominal car, very nice!
