Dan Knott to retire from Chrysler

Dan Knott has announced he will be retiring from Chrysler for medical reasons.

According to Automotive News, Dan has been battling Cancer for many years.

For you that met Dan at the various VOI's and other Viper events, he had a huge influence over the Viper development, and also SRT.

Dan was the guy at the VOI that suited up in a drivers suit, climbed into a huge Monster Truck and drove over the Corvette, smushing it into a pancake.

Dan (don't call me Don) Knott was a quiet looking guy, that really got things done.

We hope for a speedy recovery and to let him know that his accomplishments are appreciated by the entire ViperNation.

dont remember where i met dan (possibly mopar nats) but he was a really good guy. hope it all works out for him.

he drove over the vette in Vegas at VOI when it was held at the Venetion. Sept 06 i believe, that was just a great trip. First night they had that comedian on stage....."hey, is that a hemi?"

He is a great guy. I had the pleasure to interact with him while i worked at Chrysler from 05 to 08. He was one of the few management personal that you could believe
