I just saw the Vette leaked photos on Lambopower. First thing I though when I saw the dash was exactly this. Looks very Viperish. Front end on the Vette looks kinda SRT Viperish too while the rearend is trying to be GTR-ish to me. It even has a viperish air extractor on the front fenders after the front wheels....Kinda looks like it has the LED eyelashes too lol..

Well, at least it's very accurate. "Check engine" and "Hood open" :D

Just kidding.

Those look like renderings of the Jalopnik renderings, which according to "sources" are very close to the real thing... so if that's it and I'd have the money to spend on it... I'd most likely pass and if I was a Vette guy, I'd get a C6 ZR1. That rear end kills it IMO.

The Corvette always copies the Viper. When I saw the front end I thought "Gee I wonder where you got that from". Bunch of ****** bags

That isn't what the new vette will look like, is it? Chevy needs to move away from that Transformer look. Square anything does not belong on a sports car. This is why I can't bring myself to own a chevy car. Chevy truck from the early 90s was as close as I could come. I have to admit in the early 90s they really had it going in the sport truck market. They just have no styling these days. It is like the upchuck designs from Lincoln too. If there was one car that could really use a retro-design, it is the vette. Look what it did for the Mustang sales since 05'. However too much retro is not good either. New 2014.5' Mustang will be a departure like SN-95 was. It is about time too for a compete refresh.

Anyway, that rendering is horrible. Even though I am not a vette guy, I am a car guy and hope it is not like this. I don't even want to see it on the street. Must be ex-designer of the Aztec. Ha! Ha!

I thought the C7 was suppose to have retro characteristics like split window? It is really a departure from the C6. GM has the luxury of developing a whole new car, hope they lose the Camaro taillights and let the design evolve. Im not a buyer but I appreciate great designs.

From what I gather, this is it.

I've heard Corvette guys describe the Gen 3/4 as "copied the Corvette" even though the Viper started the style in 2003. I've even heard Corvette guys describe the 2008 Viper hood "aftermarket like the one I got for my Vette".

The dash does look very similar.
The overall look is very disappointing. The back end is camaro like and does not distinguish itself enough.
Looks like they did not allow the engineers to think outside the box like SRT did.
A new Z06 will retail very close to a base SRT Viper. There's not even an ounce of debate. VIPER WINS

If that's the new vette and Porsche sells you a 400hp car for $100k, I'd say the Gen V is gonna be in demand... Oh and you could put a million horsepower in the Mustang and it won't matter.

Front end sort of similar to Viper, rear end continues the out of proportion boxy look, but has Camaro/cartoon written all over it, badges continue as Corvette. Saw a mention above about the interior...anyone have the pics to post?

Nice car, except the Camaro rear destroys its panache. What the hell were the Vette designers thinking of???????

IMO it has no vision. It looks like it was designed by committee. No doubt it will be FAST, but it just isn't beautiful, to me.

The rear end looks like it is trying to be a Camaro and trying to look like a high end exotic - both of which aren't working for me.

It looks like it was designed by different groups that didn't work together.

"Bob.. take Brad and Bill with you and design the front. Be back in three weeks with your final design!"

"ROGER!"

"Steve.. take Jeremy, Pete and Will with you and design the side profile. Be back in three weeks with your final design!"

"SIR, YES SIR!"

"Frank.. take John with you and design the interior. Be back in three weeks with your final design!"

"Alright..."

"Josh.. take Adam and Jimmy with you and design the rear. Be back in three weels with your final design!"

"But... but... Adam is blind and Jimmy is seven years old. How can I..."

"Josh... who cares about the rear? Also, Jimmy plays with HotWheels toys, right? He'll show you some cool toycars"

"Okay..."
