David E. Davis--1930--2011

Automotine jounalism giant, Davis died at age 80. As I recall a former Viper owner who may have picked his up at the plant in the 90s (later sold it for about what he paid for it--how many of us can say that?)

He is the man who made Car & Driver number 1 in the 60s and founded Automobile Magazine.

That's sad to hear. I remember reading the article he wrote in Automobile magazine about his experience of picking up his 96 White RT/10. He actually was there and photographed the car through the entire process.
