Took my car to the dealer for state inspection, you would think that would be a simple task. But nooooooooooo, they decided they would take it upon themselves to have some ***** with a shop rag clean my wheels. Now they are covered in fine scratches from the brake dust that they didnt bother to wash off before they wiped them down dry. I am so upset I dont know what to do. :curse: :evilmad:

Why would they touch your wheels My car doent leave my sight at the dealer I would be in the sevice managers face demanding new wheels. One time I let the dealer service mechanic drive my 04 out of the bay and parked the car with the front end over the curb and lightly scratched the underside of the front. From now on know one drives my car or does it leave my sight.Get new wheels! Good luck

If they tell you the scathes aren’t noticeable and try to play it off. Have them change them out with a used SRT on the lot with perfect wheels. They’ll have a problem with that too, but stay on them.
BMW, Lexus,Ferrari, etc. would never let that happen to one of their customers.
I had a Dodge “detailer” F up my wheels one time by spraying some heavy cleaner inside the wheel and let it drip through to the front, and didn’t wash it off in time. Some old guy about 20 past retirement. When I go there now I make sure everyone know not to wash my car no matter what. Don’t do me any favors:)

First you get loud, if that doesn’t help.....
Get salty, if that doesn't help.........
Get Load And Salty:)

I never let them wash my car and I talk to the service manager that no one is to drive the car at all! Then again the service manager at the dealership not too far from my house is a really good guy and would make sure it doesn't get messed up by someone!

Dealer rep did not call me back when he said he would, so I called today. He told me that there was some question about whether his person caused the damage to the wheels, he said the person told him that they didnt cause the damage to my wheels (big surprise), I said so "you're calling me a liar", and he said no, and I said so if it wasn't like that when it came in and your person didnt do it, what are you saying. He said I am saying we will never know what happened to them. :curse: . He said he still wants to make me happy though, and recommended that I let him take the car to his body shop because his shop foreman is confident that he can compound the wheels and get the scratches out. I told him that I didnt like his attitude and I would pursue this matter in another way. BRENNER Dodge in Harrisburg *****....now I am waiting for Frank to jump in here and say "i told you so".

Foothill Ranch Dodge put a serious deep scratch in my car. They offered to have it fixed but I will not let them see my car ever again for anything.

I think this is the exact reason for dealerships not careing if they scratch or do something to the viper. If they offer to fix it I would let them fix it and if they do it wrong Keep hounding them until they are sick and tired of seeing you. Make sure you are completey satisfied with there fix, and then I would never go back. The dealer ship could care less if you ever show up there or not. But if you make them fix there mistake, I think thats were you win. Not letting them fix it, means your letting the dealership get away with ******. Just my .02

You are definately right but the time needed is such an issue. All they will do is keep ruining things. I hope they could care less about me never coming back but letting anyone I know intterested in a DC car not to go to their :usa: dealership

[/QUOTE] I can see your point as well, what you need to do is Hire a homeless person that you see on the street begging for food and money anyway, and ask him or her if they would like to earn 20 bucks or so, and have them hold a sign in front of the dealership on how poor there customer service is. Plus the word of mouth is a bonus.

Of course if you let the dealer fix your towel marks it will end up something like this....

These are dealer installed rotary buffer swirls.
