I currently own a 1998 GTS and a 2002 Yellow C5 Vert and am looking to trade the Vet on a 2003 SRT Red Vert. Any ideas on anyone not trying to get over list? Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you Ron

I would suggest you contact John Gastman @ Roanoke motors, or one of the other site sponsors, and ask them what might be available, but I would suspect that if you want to pay no more than list, you will have to wait for 04.

There may be a couple of members that are not going to be able to take delivery of their cars - at least one is red and sitting at CAAP right now. Contact me for the contact info. Your local VCA president may know of club members whose circumstances have changed and may not be able to take delivery, or know of dealers who may have available cars.

I agree with problems getting list. I was at Bill Luke Dodge in Phoenix(602-242-4600)on Sunday. They had gotten five SRTs in Sunday. Eddie Martin(viper tech) mentioned that they may have a red SRT that one of the Arizona club members doesn't want. However, I think they may want $5,000 over invoice but I may be wrong. It will not hurt to call Eddie and ask.

Red is the color I am looking for. Will any of these dealers do a courtousy trade as I have my Yellow C5 for sale? I could use the sales tax trade,I have been talking to Premier Autos but they want 88,495 which is crazy. Thanks Ron

Let us know if you get under MSRP. I'd be shocked. Maybe later in the year, but right now - I'll go on record as saying no way. Even if my circumstances made it impossible to buy my SRT, I'd sure want to get market price for it and High 80s seems to be market right now. Remember that many Viper owners still await their cars.

I will note as a matter of course that you should absolutely contact Bill Pemberton @ Woodhouse (800-889-1893). I've bought three Vipers from him, and it's always been a 100% pleasant experience and a very competitive price.
