December \"O\" Magazine and Bob Lutz

This past weekend, I saw an article on "Successful People" in O Magazine. One of the folks featured was Bob Lutz. He had a picture and a small blurb about how a car is a personal statement about who you are and it's significance to the image you project.

So, as Bob is about ready to unveil the ALL NEW C6 - what's he leaning against in O Magazine, telling the world that you=your car in an article about super success???

A 1997 GTS - Red with yellow wheels. :2tu: :2tu: :2tu: :2tu:

Should we start bombarding his office with "O" magazine copies complimenting him on his excellent choice in vehicles to represent success??????

:) :) :) :)

Somewhere, a PR person just got fired......

Re: December

That's great! Can you post a picture of the article/pic?
We should put it on a desk plaque and send him one! :D

Re: December

Casey,
I don't have the mag and it's no longer on newsstands. I am ordering a back copy, but does anyone have this magazine?

Or better yet, do your wives have this mag????

If so - scan and post!

Re: December

Rosie's mag went belly up (pardon the pun) Oprah, her mag, and her entire empire seem to be doing just fine....

Re: December

Success is where you find it aparently. The article was titled "How to be Excellent" and featured such people as Yo-Yo Ma, Annie Leibovitz, Bill Cosby, John Updike, as well as Bob Lutz. His quote is as follows:

"I try to remind myself and those working with me that for most people a car is not a given - it's the second largest purchase after their homes. And that a car is unlike a refrigerator or washing machine because those expensive appliances are never taken for walks outside one's own home. An automobile is a reflection of your station in life, your taste, and your cultural ethic. So that's what excellence is - providing the customer with a high level of value, a product to exceed his or her expectations."

The photo shows Bob leaning against an 1997 RT 10 - a red one with the mustard color rims.
