I have contacted Roger at US Excotics to construct a hood for my Gen 1 Viper.
It will be the Diamondback hood, with some modifications, the naca duct was set in a different angle on the hood, allowing more cool air to the filters.
All vents were made functional.
I visited Roger today and took some pictures. It was interresting to see the hood in 2 pieces and discuss the progress and difficulties manufacturing it. It sure is not an easy project.
The old -93 will be fitted with Roger's hood, Autoform Le Mans front end with splitter and towhook. This should be one AGGRESSIVE looking Gen 1. Not to mention the Roe Blower and Nitrous...

Thanks for the Red Bull drinks and your time. I cannot wait till next Friday when Dan (Dansauto) will pick up my Viper "carcass" and Rogers hood.
:2tu: :headbang:

Back from Rogers garage.
Hood is progressing. The upper and lower parts are glued together. Hinge screws and other attachement holes/screws/rivets are all there.
Hood was heatcured well above 200F to show any stress points and distorsion.
The hood is currently as ugly as it gets. Roger is now taking care of all the details, sanding and priming it for Friday delivery. On Friday it should look pretty nice!

I'll keep you posted on the progress when we actually bolt it on the car and later when it is painted.

Hood looks great!

BTW is the Autoform front bumper the one on the RT/10 in your avatar RedEnuf?

That is Autoform spoiler, not the front bumper. The front bumper has Le Mans lights and bolder look.

And yes, the insurance did not total my car (at least so far so good...), so it is being rebuilt.

Here's the car on Dan's (Dansauto) flatbed.
Roger from US Excotics met us and we were able to put the hood first time on the car. Of course it does not fit well on top of all that twisted metalcrap, but you'll be able to see the contours.

I placed the order on Autoform Le Mans facia, Davis radiator and some other items with Jon B today.
Thanks Jon!

Car is now out of here and Dan will be working next 1-1,5 months on it. After all, I decided to go RED, instead of blue. I'll post more pictures once the hood and facia are mounted.

that hood is awesome, looks really aggressive with the vents in the center. I can't wait to see what it looks like painted.

Are you going to be painting the stripes on the hood? Looks like striping them with vinyl would be tough with all those slits in the hood

I think Dan needs to adjust more than just the head light... :bonker:

You should have seen what I did with the old hood... :headbang: :headbang:
I cut it in slices.
I will keep the sides of the fenders, cut a slice from the front bumper and I'll stick them into the Viper pit wall.
It'll look like side of the car is stuck in the wall!!! :nana:

Damn, its boring without my car...
I removed the suspension of my Lexus, just to keep myself entertained.
