I dont think there are too many blown stangs over 500 Hp. Thats what it will take to beat a GEN1 from 50-150. I am sure there are some, but its not the norm. Gen1 vipers are not the best handling over 150 MPH.

Whoa...you sure you want to go there? I think we can all agree that there are a ton more mustangs making over 500hp, than there are bone stock RT's and GTS. Why? Because there are 10x the amount of Fox and and SN-95 stangs/cobras on the road.

As far as your argument about it taking 500hp for a mustang to "beat" a Gen1? You do know how much fox body mustangs weigh from the factory right? That you don't need more power when you weigh considerably less to come out on top? You know how well mustangs go from a dig, don't you? Come on...this isn't about apples and oranges..it's about common sense and not being bias to what you drive.

LOL EXACTLY I COULDN'T HAVE SAID IT BETTER.
Stangs aren't anything to play with if their modded right. I know I have a 91 Mustang GT that runs a 10.36@137 mph and I have a 99' RT/10, dont know what it runs but the Vipers getting a Roe so Mustangs like mine won't eat it LOL
although i'm also droppin a bigger motor in the Stang and the Viper won't have a chance in the 1/4 LOL.

Well I don't want to turn this into, I have x that can beat z. Bottom line, there is always going to be someone out there faster than you. Better yet, who knows what it could be. A beafed up pinto? I know of atleast 1. However, the point I was trying to make is that all to often people use their inflated ego's as a crutch. Just because my car has a bigger motor, it can never be beaten by one with a smaller motor is just a silly way to think.

I know of 8 super charged mustangs in upstate (syracuse NY area). Not one dynos over 500 Hp, Not saying that there are faster mustangs, but I still dont think its the norm.
