Do Gen IV sensors work on Gen III?

If I swap wheels from a Gen IV will the tpms work without doing anything?

if i need to reprogram can i do it on my own? thanks!

Yes they will work, yes you need to reprogram, no you cannot do it yourself.

on my corvette i used a magnet to quickly reprogram sensors

If you re-use the car's original sensors in the new wheels, the system will work without any re-programming.

-Gen-3, Gen-4, doesnt matter. The codes will be different and need to be programmed.

-If you keep your originals, no, it wont need to be programmed.

-Most dealers charge around $50 bucks or so for the time.

-Magnets are used yes, but you need the dealer tool to enter learn mode.
