I find myself taking out the spare but some people think that I'm crazy. I know that there is always tow truck option. How many of you had changed the tire for the spare. Do you drive with your spare?

I had to use my spare once...
It worked fine...looked like $h!t but saved my a$$.
Drove with it for about 50 miles.
The biggest problem was finding a place to put the rear tire/wheel.
Ended up putting it on my pass. seat.....lucky I had *just* dropped my date off, or she would have had to get a cab :)
Also, Jason is correct about the safety thing .
Cheers,

Just used my spare tonight, hit a big fat piece of something metal that took my tire out. Keep the spare. "The life you save could be mine." For an extra 3 points tell me who I just quoted. Hint: think 60's.

I have my spare in place as many warned before on other threads, including Chuck Tator that it is part of the structural integrity of the car, should you get rear ended.
