Has anyone bought a Viper from DodgeVipersforsale.com? If so what was your experience? I just bought a 97 GTS from there and I haven't gotten it yet and I am getting way ansty. It's all I can think about. It is being delivered sometime in the near future I hope. How long does it usually take between purchase and delivery. I hate to keep bugging Marvin. Thanks.

Did they arrange your transport for you? Wanting to know when your 45+ thousand dollar car is going to be delivered is not "bugging" anyone. If they have your money, you have a right to know what's going on with the car. Give him a call and ask for details. If nothing else he'll be able to give you contact info for the transport company so you can call them and find out what's going on.

Got my GTS from Marv. Great guy, great Vipers. You will be happy when you get it.

I did have some paperwork problems after the sale (DMV's fault, but he had to take care of it on his end), and I have to say, it was hard getting hold of him at times, and he was slower to fix to the problem than I would have liked. But it did all work out, and I would definitely go back to him if I'm getting another used snake.

I got my current RT from them (Marv Rose and son) in May 2004, and the car has so far proven to be a good one. However, I don't know how much he had to do with it - as he didn't see it until about 12 hours before I picked it up - but evidently he seems to have trustworthy connections, and/or is lucky.

One bit of advice concerning Marv and son (and is generally good advice overall): check the car over very closely before you take delivery - he does guarantee the car, but NOT everything. My experience wasn't totally good - I didn't find out until a few days after I picked up my car in Fresno that the soft top delivered with the car was trashed - holes from being stored in the trunk for five years and the hard parts wearing through, evidently. The car had the hard top on when I got it, and I neglected to unfold and fully check the soft top. Now, I didn't expect Marv to replace it - I *did* accept delivery and all - but I did ask him to help me replace it four days later - perhaps get a discount, whatever. I called him a couple of times and he said he'd try, but nothing ever came of it - I finally just paid $1600 for a new one through our local Dodge dealer. I'm not overly criticizing Marv for this, but just trying to make sure you know NOT to necessarily expect anything after the sale. In my case, note that everything else on the car turned out to be fine.

I tried buying an RT/10 from them. They told me the car was a one owner car, never been in an accident, etc. Low and behold, the car was in an accident and the car had two previous owners. The guy really does not budge on price either. After I found out all that info on the RT/10, I would think he would have given me a good deal on the car....I guess not. The funny thing is the car is still for sale and has been for a long time. It is the black 99 or 2000 RT/10 with the BBS wheels.

Marv seems to have a good rep on the board here, was there a misunderstanding, or was the car misrepresented?

Thank you for the confirmation. Im not doubting Marvs reputation. My apprehensions are based solely on my nervousness about purchasing a car sight unseen. Things like curb rash on the wheels, original paint, etc. My trust is going out to Marv...Ill report back in 7-10 days.

Thanks guys.

I was very happy when I finally got my car. It took so long to get here because I live in the sticks of Oregon and since Marv was paying for the shipping the shipping company waited until they had a full load to come North. The car was in better condition than advertised. I'd buy from Marv again but would bargain more......that damn cash was burning a hole in my pocket. I wanted a Viper and I wanted it now. :)

Yes, I know sorry. But Im buying the steel grey GTS from Marv, just hoping to get some encouragement from owners who have purchased from Marv sight unseen.
That Steel Gray car is very nice. I was going to buy it if it had stripes but it didn't. Good luck with it, it looks very clean from the pics. :2tu:

I just purchased my ACR from Marv in April 2007 and it was a smooth transaction. I went to check out the car on Monday and drove it home on Friday. All his cars I saw in his shop were in good to excellent condition. He is hard to get a hold of sometimes.

Looks like they choose nice cars, although some of the prices seem somewhat high compared to other cars on the market.

I have to agree their prices seem high for market, but atleast you know what you are getting? I guess that is the general concensus.

I purchased mine from Marv as well. It was in Ohio and took a couple of weeks to get here. The car was better than advertised. The two weeks was the killer...

Yes he does. He paid for all of the shipping as part of the deal. Still severely happy here in Oregon.
