Solid "B" here. Want to be able to take it back to stock if necessary.

Perhaps someday I'll go the 2nd Viper route as some have mentioned. Then it would be E to infinity.

Surprised to see as many A answers as there are. 6 or 7 out of 31.
Must be nice to have 2 or 3 Vipers to have one stock and mod the other!!
Chuck 98-I was surprised to hear you are nearly stock with that avatar you got

I was 'A' with my First GTS, only because I didn't know much about Mods for the Viper, and also because the Mods were so expensive. Turned into a 'B' as soon as I found this site!

Since then, the Mods are priced much better and I can't get enough of them!

Of course, once I had Heffner work on my car, I have become more addicted to power than I would have thought possible! He keeps me coming back for more and deep into D! :headbang:

Anyone else here remember when 550hp in a Viper was a always on your mind!?

C, but would be D with more money to spend.

Initial, simple mods like K&N filters and smooth tubes are a no brainer. There is no real downside as it's essentially free power making the car run better. Similarly adding high flow cats make the Viper's interior and side sills cooler, and add some small power in the bargain while still easily passing smog tests.

Cat backs are more of a personal custom item to make the Vipers sound "better" to most of us who have done that mod.

Upgrading the interior like with MGW trim bits again bring the car away from stock, but most people would agree that the look is visibly better.

VEC-1, VEC-II take out the rough engine acceleration at low RPMs, and flatten and fatten the power curve nicely (but subtly). Adding an aftermarket shifter like the B&M make shifting feel more solid and direct. These are the kind of "mods" that DC should have done from the factory to make the car better, so I almost see them (along with high flow cats) as a correction rather than a mod.

Gears, nitrous, headers, rollbar, blower, etc..
Well, once you have started down the modding path it is very hard to stop. :2tu:

When I got my car it was totally stock and I really did like it that way.No sooner did I join this club and started with exhaust and air filter and spoiler and hardtop......The more I see the car with all the mods the more I like it.It never ends!

I am a "C" guy (money is the only thing stopping me deom being a D or E guy! I have made the changes slowly, but next thing you know, there isn't a part of the car that isn't touched in some way!

I'm an A. The car is quite a handful anyway and there aren't too many places to utilize it's potential. Obviously, I'm not much into straight line racing. The GTS's real potential is in the curves.

Besides with the cost of mods in "C" easily crossing 20K, I'd rather put the money towards a 2nd Viper. Until then, bone stock it shall stay.

D Baby...

(1) Once you drive a Viper with 600+hpr at the rear wheels you will understand...

"If you modify it, it will not be worth as much"

First what a crock, second who cares, third when they pry my cold dead hands off the wheel it will not matter anyway, and forth when in doubt always refer to item #1 :headbang: :headbang: :headbang: :headbang: :headbang:

C:

Its funny, I started out as a definite "A". Then, being around some C and D guys, I moved into the B category. But like they say, its addictive. Now I am a C. I really do not want to go any further, but who knows?

Definitely a "D" but the large assortment of boxes full of shrink wrapped items in my attic reserves me the right to become "A" whenever I want! Did I say that out loud?

I always like a toilet that is a little different then every body else. I have never left a car or a bike stock. Many after market parts and accessories are much better then the factory equipment.
