Just wondering if anyone heard something about the Charger concept car. I hope Dodge will produce it. I would trade in my stealth in a second. Any guesses on how much it'll cost?

One word answer; NO! The kabosh was put on it a while ago, it will not be built! Sorry, it was a very cool car, saw it at the Detroit Auto Show, Thought it would go, but it was shot down.

The announcement being referred to above was regarding future product to be "announced". There should be an official announcement on the Charger at this years Detroit AutoShow. The good news is that they are building a rear platform for a 2004 release. Now we just need to know if the Charger will be one of those bodies put on the platform?

I am taking bets that they DO BUILD it! Any takers?

All I know is that I loved that thing from the minute I saw it. If they make it, count me in line for one - if it is true to the concept. If they back out on putting muscle under the hood, or offer automatic only, screw-up the beautiful lines, etc. - then don't bother IMO.

I do hope that they do revive it, last word was it was cancelled, but I won't bet against Steve Ferguson. I think he knows that something is coming down the pike! However, it still won't be like the Road Runners and Super Bees were, (readily affordable that is), as it had a supercharged V-8 engine and I think it will be up in the thirties, not reachable by many car buyers, especially if it is more of a limited production, retro "Toy" car and not really an everyday driver. My 02 Cents.

For all those that believe EVERYTHING they read, go to automotivenews.com and scrolled down to the blue bow in the middle of the page. Then click on the line that says DCX future products. I think that should make everyone feel a little better.

You do not want ME making requests on your future vehicles (all they would be thinking is, "Ferguson must want this for a raffle"). From the sounds of it, the engine (Hemi) should have close to 400 HP. I would think in most cases that you could tow with that?

If you read the article I mentioned in my prior post, you will see that they are "discussing" a sedan and coupe version.

Let all just stand by OUR brand and let them do the right thing. They seem to be right on track.
