I'm doing Mopar 1.7 Rockers on my 96 GTS and a friends 00 ACR. I have a part # for the comp cams pushrods PN 7963-16 these are the longer than stock pushrods. Does the 96 and the 00 both use the same pushrod or is there a diffrence between the 2??

I just did a 96 and had to use shorter pushrods. Stock had a black stripe....I used green stripe. Rockers and pushrods were from Arrow.

I'm in the midst of installing 1.7 T&D's on my '96 RT/10. Looks like the stock pushrods are 7.5 inches and they are too short. My understanding is that the Comp Cam rods are 7.7 inches. For safety sake, I was about to order one of those adjustable pushrods so that I'd be sure to get the correct length for my applications. Now, if anyone knows FOR SURE what length pushrods are needed for the T&D's, I don't mind saving myself the time and expense associated with the adjustable pushrod.

BTW, I didn't notice stripes on my stock pushrods, but I'll re-examine them tonight.

Mopar and T&D's are the same thing. I was just double checking that the 96 and 00 use the same longer pushrod. Both cars are GenII motors your 96 R/T isnt. The GenI & II may use the same longer pushrod. We need the experts in here.

Been there, done that.

Guys, I listed this in a previous post. The ones you want are 7.7, they are longer then stock push rods, but are SHORTER for the chevy small block v8 (which is what they are really made for). I already, have 3,000 miles on mine, and I installed them just over a month ago. My viper tech is coming over tonight, and we are going to just do a recheck, just to make sure all is cool. Again, the part number I listed for comp cams in my previous post IS THE CORRECT part number. AND NO, THERE IS NO DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE REQUIRED PUSHROD FOR THE T&D/MOPAR ROCKERS FOR A 96-02 viper.

There is another post/question almost identical to this one, take a look at my post relative to the push rod length. There is no way to guarantee which rod is correct till you set the rocker-to-valve geometry. I used the .040 shims and I had the black strips. This is in contrast to the post using the .080 shims. This reinforces the fact that you have to set the geometry and then measure the required length.
