Don\'t see too many GTS-R\'s for sale anymore....

Pretty neat, I saw this car on Ebay...

I don't see very many of these for sale anymore, and if I had a choice between this car and a SRT... I think it is a no brainer to choose the GTS-R since you will probably make a few bucks when you sell it or at least break even (assuming you don't mod the hell out of it). Nice to see at least one Viper that is going up in value. If you don't drive your car much, this would be my choice.

Rare to find a car that could be an investment, but that looks like a nice one... well taken care of.

Wierd thing is that there are other color combos that where there weren't as many produced (ex- Red with Silver stripes). I wonder how those ones hold their price compared to the GTS-Rs?

In my experience, paint jobs don't count for much in 20 years. Options and rare factory editions count for the most.

I'm just saying even if it's a "factory edition", how the color combination numbers compare. There are those rare 3 White with Blue stripe GTSs (97 I believe), now those babys should hold and gain value even this early in their lives.

They are GT2 Commemorative Editions, GTS-R replicas - NOT GTS-Rs....

There was one here in Atlanta a couple months ago for sale at $99,000.

I saw this GT2 in person. It is clean and in good condition. The thing that held me back was that it is lightly modified. I believe it has TNT exhaust and red pinstripes drawn on each side of the blue stripes and along the side of the car. It also has a snake emblem drawn on the side under GTSR visible in the pictures.

He says #51 was "recently sold for about $160k"

But what he doesn't say is that the sale was, what, 3 years ago at Barrett-Jackson. This year #51 went through Barrett again...... A no sale with hi-bid or $90k. http://www.barrett-jackson.com/auctionresults/common/cardetail.asp?id=170371

Sure seems like someone lost there **** on the Barrett Jackson car to have bought it in 2000 for $170K and now have a car worth almost half that. Ouch to the max.
