I currently have a 99GTS. I am interested in the SRT10 but they look fairly pedestrian (no offence meant).

Do any of you have cool paint jobs (or decals) you could share? Part of what I really like about the GTS is the "Wow" factor. Guess its pretty vain but I enjoy the celebrity status.

thoughts?

No offence taken as looks are rather subject; by most accounts the GTS is also a great looking car for sure. That said however, there is probably reasonably good chance that after driving an SRT-10 and exploring its handling limits and much improved agronomics/ride you might be even more motivated to either park one next to your current ride or just flat-out trade for the Gen3. As for "celebrity status" you mentioned, not sure on that one but the SRT-10 does garner a good bit of looks just about everywhere if that's what you're referring too -- as for dressing it up, well you can always drop the top. What more did you really say you were looking for.

Do a search on this subject or PM Wanted for one ... he recently traded his GTS for a SRT10 and has posted his satisfaction with his decision on numerous threads. I think he just bought another SRT-10 to boot. Good luck.

J,
I have made many changes to my car, autoform wing, hard top front splitter, gas cap, side sills, hood pad. PM me your email address and I will send you some pictures of my car. I get many compliments about how nice my car looks going around the track.

Steve -

Thanks so much for your offer on pictures. I have seen one or 2 of your car and it definitely caught my eye.

My email address is: [email protected].

I know there must be someway to get your email address from the post but even though I have 2 computer science degrees, I seem to be too stupid to find it.

Oh well - hopefully you won't hold that against me :)

BTW - I have heard nothing but awesome things about how the car drives and fundamentally, I like the idea of a convertible better - assuming I can get it on the track.

Ken Klickman (local viper tech) said that the genIII vipers were as much of an improvement over genII as the GenIIs were to the GenI cars. Sounds interesting.

Just wish I knew when the white ones were coming out. Someone said 2006 model?

Agree with J.

I have some of the same mods... and I raced it at Sebring recently for Viper Days. The increased performance of the stock SRT and its braking power more than makes up for it at the track, and the Autoform Wing, side/front splitter, gas gap, carbon fiber hood top, takes away the pedestrian look.

Add an exhaust system with no cats/no crossover and it will defintely not sound pedestrian either.

Also the Yellow color adds alot too.
