Driver's side wiper in full up position when wipers stop. Ideas?

Accidentally turned my windshield wipers on last night. They worked, but when they stopped the driver's side ends up in the full up position. Any suggestions before I start digging into the service manual and learning about the windshield wiper system?

what kinda shape is the post coming out of the motor in ? anything look odd ?

can you move the wiper and see if the post moves with it ? and evenly ? do they move the same amount ?

FANTASTIC NEWS! Went out to diagnose the windshield issue, proped them both up, turned them on full blast then turned them off and they fixed themselves. Turning them on to intermittent then off multiple times did not do it, but turning them on all the way did the trick. I'll take that as my early x-mas present.

Here in Texas you have to have wipers to pass inspection if you have a windshield. They do check them. On my buggy...? No windshield, never caught them looking for wipers...
