Soon people will be fighting whether the yellow version of this shoe is faster than the red one...

Then someone else will complain that this tread is harder and less grippy than the outgoing Nike shoe which makes the Puma not worth getting, whilst others will insinuate that Ferrari management interfered to ensure that their shoe would be lighter.

Someone should do a group buy of this...probably with enough pairs pre-ordered you can get whatever logo you want on the heel. I'm not going to ask which Viper logo is going on it. :D

Love my Pumas, that's all I wear. I like Ferraris too, but I have a VIPER. I would get a pair or two or three.

I use Alpinestars, many color choices and fit is very good. These type of shoes are definitely not for extra wide feet.

These are PUMA Speed Cats. They retail for around 50.00. Seems to me that if you could find a comparable Viper patch, to the Ferrari one shown, and attach - you would have it.
That is really all it is. :)

I would love a pair like that. I actually wanted to get a pair of Piloti's, but can't seem to find them anywhere. I heard they went out of business, but there must be some left somewhere?????

They went belly-up last year. You might still be able to find some out there but I'm sure you would pay thru the nose for them.

Looked all over the Internet for some leftover Piloti's, and a few random retailers here and there still had some pairs for sale at retail price or on sale, but they were only in odd sizes like 4, 7, & 8. This stinks........

Looks like I'll be using my Puma Speed Cats until someone revives the Piloti brand one day.....

I love my Piloti's. I look in my closet and thoughts of Imelda Marcos come to mind (well not really but I have many pairs of Piloti's)

The first time I saw a guy wearing those was downtown Los Angeles, and all I can say is....they weirded me out.

My shoe of choice Alpinestars tech-1-z-shoes
Super comfy, light weight, and supportive. Love em

The IP may have been purchased by Canadian Tire. I believe there were a couple of containers full of inventory that went with the sale.......if you know someone at CT give them a call.....

I remember that thread. That's when I bought a pair for myself. I really enjoy the shoes. I wanted something that was comfortable while being less-wide because, as we all know, the amount of space down in the pedal area is limited and having size 13's makes it even less. I really didn't pay all that much for them either. I was shocked to hear that they folded.

I hope the new owners of the IP and brand continue to work with the founder (and truly good guy) to rebuild the footwear line. They are great shoes, too bad weird financing and bad partners got in the way of commerce.....

I actually HAVE to wear Puma Fast Cats or my Oakley Race Mids; kinda crowded at the pedals with normal size 13's. REALLY like the Oakleys.

Those close out Piloti super deals were at Sportsmansguide.com

Don't think they carry driving shoes anymore, but they were a tremendous bargain at the time. (around $35)

Bought several pair for myself and told everybody.

Same here...a normal tennis shoe is just too wide for my foot, and I'll keep hitting the brake pedal inadvertently while driving. I've had a set of Pilotis for a few years that I really enjoy, and I'm also going to try a pair of New Balance minimalist shoes that have hardly any padding on them.

A real joy is to find a driving shoe that works well both in the car and is comfortable for walking around the paddock all day. Saves the hassle of changing your shoes for every stint.
