No vipers on track in T1 , but I drove Dr. Jimmy's ITS car & it was big FUN. But bring some brake pads & some guts cause it is quite the drivers track. No real straights to speek of & they almost all end in a hairpin. The elevation changes are intense & its like a cross between Lime Rock, Mid Ohio & a little of VIR all molded together. It was hairy only getting 6 laps of practice , but we did great in the race starting 21st & finishing 7th (i think!) The racing room was much better than Mid ohio & like lime rock it takes lots of ***** to go fast.
Look for a track day from the GAVCA somtime in MAY. I will keep you posted.

The porsche driving experiance is now headquatered there instead of road atlanta, they couldnt get enough dates @ RA. So the PCA has first dibs, but hey are open to all cars. I think the casual driver will be surprized @ how difficult this track is. There will be some dented sheetmetal!

Hearing that, Pete, I am going to drive really slow when I go there for the PCA event in April! The Viper doesn't have sheet metal but I'll bet the body panels don't do well against walls ...

If you are in the first 2 run groups with PCA you will have no problems , they have a very good instructor lineup.

I am in Group 2, so that will help. The event has 178 people signed up, 5 run groups. Do you have an idea of what amount of track time we will get each day? I have never been to a PCA event.

Plenty, they are a well run machine. The Peachstate is running the event, so they have lots o experiance. make sure you bring the puke bag for the instructor! This track is like a big rollercoaster!
