I wonder why they crossed out the Plymouth Prowler from the list?
I usually buy Dupont registry each month, but not this one for some reason....
Was this in the latest edition of Dupont Registry magazine on the shelves - or just the website?
The crossing out of the 93-99 Trans Am ticked me off. Anyone who's ever owned one knew just how under-rated they were by the general masses. Put some easy bolt ons a 6-spd LS1 and you became a force to be reckoned with. When they talk about "bang for the buck" when discussing vehicles like Viper and Corvette - the '99 6-sdp WS6 Trans Am is still the best pound for pound street fighter out there for the money.

I owned an '01 T/A and it sucked. It felt like a LS1 version of my Grand National, but cheaper.
Prowler sucked as a vehicle. But it looks cool.

Number three on our list is still a shocker: the Dodge Viper GTS Coupe. Introduced in 1996, we can only speculate it made the list because the new fixed-roof car was still fresh on everyone’s mind. At the time we loved the Viper’s “all-aluminum, 8-liter V-10 engine producing 450 bhp and 490 ft/lb torque” even though we did admit that it “takes a steady foot to keep the nose pointed straight under hard acceleration.” The Viper should have made the top 30 list, but not the top ten.

That list is more proof of how dismal the 80s were for auto enthusiasts. Testarossa and a six cylinder Buick. Any others?

I couldn't find the Shelby Charger or the Shelby turbo cars and the Pike's Peak Hill climb got owned by Larry Shepard in a Shelby Charger.
Kudos on the GTS! I would have expected an ACR for stockers but, oh well I guess there wasn't enough built.
Classic cars (Shelby AC Cobra is understandable until the list doesn't contain the Hurst Hemi Cudas and Darts or first passenger car (67 Hemi Charger)to go faster than 200mph.
I agree with the writer that the DODGE Lamborghini Countach should have been on the list instead of the Diablo, but it seems that they disqualified all (except Viper) Dodges from the list?
Since GM got a half dozen vettes on the list there should have been at least 66/67, and 68-70 Chargers as well as the 83-87s

.Before I got into Vipers I had bought a new '96 Z28 and then a 2000 SS convertible, both with 6 speeds. They were a lot of fun for their day.
