Well I dynoed my car a few weeks ago just haven't had time to post up. Well it made 347 HP and 400 TQ on my bone stock GEN I with 60k on her. Does this sound right? Isn't it 400hp and 450tq rated from factory? With the 15% deduction from drivetrain loss I figure those numbers seemed ok. My buddy said the air/fuel was about 11 something I forgot..but he said it seemed just about right, anyone agree or disagree?

347 is on the low side. Most dyno in 380-395 range... TQ also low.
Even the new ones have quite large differences. I would not worry about it, have fun and enjoy it. If it bothers you, you could always slap a ROE on it...

Does seem a little low, but nothing extreme. I have usually seen bone stock numbers around 360 RWHP and 410 tq. My 95 back when it only had exhaust on it and filters made 372 RWHP and 450 RWTQ.

It's a bit low, mine dynoed 391/480. If your A/F is in the 11's, you are missing out on some power. One way to correct that is to get a Vec1/Vec2 to modify the A/F and get some of that power back. Also when was the last time you changed out the plugs and wires? And what kind of dyno? Typically a Mustang dyno will rear lower than a Dynojet.

Seems a bit low. I would check the airfilters and box for debris. And to make sure it is not the original airfilter.

And honestly I would change to a K&N or Roe Airfilter. And cut the cats and mufflers out put on glasspacks. That's what I did 422rwhp 491rwtq. Is it legal: No.:D Is it green: No. :DIs it more fun: Yes:2tu:

When I dyno'd my stock '95 a couple of years ago it was around 350RWHP. We changed out the filters & put in smooth tubes that same day, and got to 375RWHP.

Wow....So if the gen1's are only around 350 rwhp then no wonder they ran in the 12.8-13.1 range...

But it looks like just..KN filters/smooth tubes/nocats gets them to 400 rwhp gen 2 territory....SWEET

Thanks for all the feedback guys! I just got her and was so anxious to modify it so I just wanted to get a quick dyno run to see what I was putting down before I started modifying. I didn't look at the filters nor did I check the plugs, (wires are MSD BTW)before the run. But just last week I changed out the dirty clogged up filters with some K&N filters, smooth tubes, 3" straight pipe no cats or muffler :D and will probably be purchasing a Vec1 from a member on here very soon. I'll be giving it an oil change and some new plugs before the next dyno run.

What plugs do you guys recommend?
What may have caused really low numbers?

BTW this run was on a dynojet, I'll stop by my buddy's shop who dyno the car and see if he still has the graph. It's been a few weeks so hopefully it's still there.

Never had mods on it. Probably from previous ownership but not to sure. I'll be changing the plugs out in a few weeks along with the wires and also I'll run a compression check on the cylinders. Just called my friend and he still has the graph from the dyno so I should have that posted up shortly Any recommended wires I should run with?
