These are very good numbers for a stock engine with bolt ons. Did they data-log air fuel and listen for knock on the dyno? Could be some power left on the table.
Im still gonna do headers and throttle body and Then send Viper Specialty the dyno results with air fuel charts and let them retune my sct as he see's apropriate...
Man I dont want to be a kill joy here but I have most every bolt on performance part made for the Viper and its tuned. I am at 492/517
Balanger Headers

I like your mods shandon and I have updated the bolt on gen3 list..Do you remember if your numbers were sae or standard and what kind of dyno was it....
Lots more that are not power adders or affect dyno results
I have found on the Dyno that the Engine made more power and most importantly CONSISTENTpower warm (normal operating temps). Not cold and not heat soaked. I have never seen HP swings as large as what you were seeing but im sure cars are different. You should be happy with your results! Thats some serious power and plenty of torque
Any car should be Dyno'd at Normal operating temperature. Why? Because that is most usable/accurate/consistant data for tuning.
Your fan & thermostat will keep your motor within certain normal temp range.
Sounds like ameture night to me with letting the car sit on the dyno in hopes of having a more powerfull car on paper

Your fan & thermostat will keep your motor within certain normal temp range. I usually wait untill i hear the fan cycle untill it cools down to 180/190(i forget the exact temp) as soon as the fan cuts off i begin getting her up to 4rth for the pull. This ensures that my numerous pulls can be acurrately compared to eachother. Tuning should be you overall goal, Not seeing a pleasing # on Paper
reading the post i was waiting for you to say; And then i threw a bag of ice on the intake manifold
THis is correct. My diesel truck club sponsers two dyno days per year, and we make sure all trucks are driven an warmed to operating temperature before they are allowed on the dyno.
ameture spelling bee winner?
Nice job twister, 1/4 mile is way more important than dyno numbers.
