Yes you can drag with your hard top on, you will also have to rollup your windows, or install on Gen 1. You cannot drag without a top if you don't have a rollbar, unless your car will not run sub 14's (this is a rule you don't want to test). You should be good as long as you have a helmet SA 2000 with Nomex. If you break 12's depending on the track you may get booted for no level 1 fire jacket, but that will really depend on the track and the tech guys.

albert- no doubt about taht, how did you launch? I was watching the vid and i didnt think taht you feathered at 3 like most people suggest but rather you dropped the clutch maybe? any advice on how to get the best time would be great.

by the way, do you guys know where i can get a helmet and how much they typically run?

I launch the car at 4000, Im aggressive, but I dont dump the clutch. Just get out there and practice.

I got my helmet at Summit racing. Shop around online, you should be able to find a good deal.

Raceway Park always tries to satisfy our "need for speed"! Although NHRA limits "convertibles" to 13 seconds (or is it 14?), they have always been reasonable.

Keep the hardtop on, and enjoy!

I agree with the helmet city recommendation, and make sure you specify you want the VCA discount (10%).
