Finished w/ my plugs and wires. Car starts and idles ~700 for a few seconds, then drops to ~500 like normal. However, it feels like it's firing uneven, a slight shake on acceleration. I don't think it's a misfire, because the car isn't backfiring heavily or anything weird. I don't think I crossed any wires, I removed them one wire/plug at a time.

Kinda feels like the mixture is off. I hear a bit of "clicking" or popping from the passenger side bank in the exhaust pipe, which is unburnt fuel detonating right?

Do I need to let the ECU re-learn the fuel curve for the new plugs/wires? The old ones were VERY old unfortnuetly, so who knows what the computer was sending plenum in terms of A/F.

Power is still there, felt like it pulled about the same as it did, but the shudder is somewhat noticeable.

I'd tend to doubt the computer would need to re-learn anything from a plug and wire install.

More likely a bad wire, closed gap, or weakly connected wire.

ECU does not need to be reset. Most likely just one plug that did not "Snap" on under the boot. It is most likely arcing to the plug. Electricity will take the shortest path to ground. First you can try to turn the lights off in the grarage at night and look for any arcing. You might be able to see the bad link.

If you have balls, just grab the plug wires one after another. You should not get shocked until you find the problem wire.

I'll get it fixed today. I did do the throttle body re-sync... whole new car! Can't wait to get the plugs right, and then the exhaust.. should wake her up!
