Eibach 1\" Lowering Springs

I want opinions from anyone who has installed the Eibach Pro Kit 1" Lowering Springs. How is your ride with the convertion. What size tires or wheels work best with the 1" lowering spring.

Re: Eibach 1\" Lowering Springs

I have the Eibachs on my car with factory Konis adjusted to max dampening. Car rides firm, but not too firm. No bouncing. Overall, I'm quite pleased. Took the 4x4 look away. Probably one of the best mods I've made.

Best regards,

Ben

I adjusted my rebound to about mid-damping. Seems pretty good but I did not get a lot of seat time this year. Definitely need an alignment after lowering.

Francisco,

The front splitter is Autoform. The hood is OE Dodge with stripes added.

I have no scrape problem with my Eibachs and stock gts rims, and I stay in Chicago our streets are not the best nor the worst. Yes you will be happy with the set up. did mine my self took about 2.5 hours could have been shorter but I had to take the shocks and springs to a tire shop to have them do the switch with the spring machine.

Good luck

easy to DIY and the improvement in looks is well worth it. also rides just fine (although i hear from some that eibichs are detrimental to the sixty foot times, LOL)

Re: Eibach 1

Very easy to do. I drove from Chicago to Detroit with no scraping and if you have experienced Detroits roads, thats a good test. Teeter-todders a little more than the ride but its not too bad. Looks alot better.

Re: Eibach 1\" Lowering Springs

I have Eibach springs and Northwind spring caps on the front. The car is more stiffer, but handles better and looks awesome

I have a set of shocks and springs for sale Eibach's already installed on them all you have to do in bolt them in no spring compressor required. Just install and then re align. They are off a 1998 GTS

Re: Eibach 1

what if you'd like to go 2" or more? With my 18" 546s, I have lots of gap (2 1/2" or so). The rear has about 3" gap. I think a 2" drop would be best, could I cut a coil off the eibachs to get me down where I need to be? The NE caps only give me an extra 1/2", and I would be cutting 1/2-1 coil off anyway.

I measured my fender heights, the fronts are 27 1/2" and the rear is almost 29". Does anyone else have such a 4X4 Viper?

Re: Eibach 1

Screx doing it for looks.Lowering is a good thing.Providing the suspension still works correctly.Eventualy I will go the spring cap route. Why?Not too low,Still drivable, lower CG,Same spring rate.STIFF as in eibachs or acr cars is a good thing on a SMOOTH track or street.Any bumps and it will be slower and harder to handle.Like using too stiff of a ski on a bumpy down hill slope.Lack of control and slow.Have heard acr people and eibach people complain about the roughness on a longer drive.I and you need a compliant suspension that sticks to the road and doesn't skip over it.Of course my normal roads aren't that great but not nearly as bad as Detroit.I hate driving a car that skitters around on a rough road.Stiffer makes it worse.
