I noticed a few similarities between the engine bay of the VM-01 prototype and that of the Gen 5. Some might not entirely see it if at all but the plastic covers on the Gen 5 engine look to be identically positioned.

Sorry for the stupid question but what is the VM-01?

VM-01 is the first road legal prototype Viper. Ever.

First 'RT/10' if you will without a sports bar, a center gas cap, funky mid-80's Corvette looking blade wheels and of course a V8.

Thanks for sharing. I googled this and also learned that the Gen I engine has Italian blue blood :)

Yeah Chrysler owned Lamborghini back in the late 80's before Audi bought it. Still some debate as to whether the V10 was intended for an American truck or the Jalpa successor I believe. Maybe it's both?
