Engine Light Question?

First time ever (with only 8000) miles I saw a flashing light on my dashboard; appeared to have been the MIL (Malfunction Indicator Light) - Flashing
This occurred after I got on the Viper in first-second shift...

As I was pulling over to see what happened -- Felt as if the "power" from all cylinders was not firing...

I let the car sit/cool down, turned it back on and it was running again like a champ...

Any thoughts/suggestions/comments/concerns/follow ups etc..

A flashing CEL isn't good. What year is your car?

2008 - It's off now, and I drove about 20 miles afterwards with no issues.
It's never happened before...

Go over to Pep Boys, and have them put the code reader on it. I bet you threw a code, then google it, and post it here.

Since the light was gone; they flashed it and read "no codes" if/when it happens again they said bring it over (easier said than done)
