I just finished installing 5 completed exhaust systems. To install Belanger headers, Random Tech cats (metal substrates) and B & B cat back takes about 3 hrs. Amazingly enough these 3 different systems bolt right together no cutting or welding.

Belanger, Random tech (METAL SUBSTRATE)and Corsa took 3.5 hrs and I had to shorten the Random tech cats by 3 1/4" on passenger side and 3 1/2" on drivers side then it bolted right together. 1/2 hr longer was due to adjusting tail pipes.

I would not expect a person unfamilar to do it that quick. But I didn't rush and both those times are start to finish times which include removing old parts.

First set up cost 3395. including ceramic socks for ignition wires. The Corsa was $200 more. Both are very nice setups all a matter of what you like for sound.

Definetely louder with high flow cats. Headers also give it a slightly crisper sound. I believe it doing it as a system because if you try to do it later you have to cut and butcher the set up. Both these setups where very clean fit nice with less chance of leaks

BTW I re-use the factory metal exhaust manifold gasket with silicone. They never need re-tighening and don't come loose.

You were saying to do as a complete system, but I already have the Roe oval cats in place and muffler delete. I know headers won't benefit me that much on a creampuff, but in your opinion is there one brand that is easier to install or are they all fairly equal.

The Belanger come with at turn out pipe that remplace the flex pipe. But it does not contain a flex pipe. It also does not use the front hanger like the factory system.

I have found on one car that the motormount has shifted and I had to move it on the passenger side to get the exhuast to fit correctly

Thanks Mike,

If you have the time, could you post a pic of the finished install? I would specifically like to see the turnout pipe/Random Tech cat joint.

Are the RT metal substrates different than the oval and round RT cats?
what kind of clamp did you use at the cat-forward and rearward joints?
Thanks
