I dropped my car off at the dealership last week, with what is thought to be a spun bearing. It is still under warranty, so I'm not too worried about that, but I feel like nothing is getting done. I hadn't heard anything, so I just called the dealership. They said they typed up all the notes and thoughts of what it is and sent it to Chrysler. They are waiting on Chrysler to get back to them about how to proceed further. It's been a week now. Is there a number or someone to call at Chrylser to try to speed things up? I expect it to take a while if they have to pull the motor and send it to Arrow, but at least I know work is being done if that's going on. Basically my car hasn't been touched in a week of sitting at the dealership because they are waiting on a response from Chrysler and it's killing me. I want to get the work started so I can know I'm on the way to getting back on the road. Any advice?

I would call Chrysler or next closest Dodge dealership and ask them for the name and number of the regional rep. Give that person a call.

The Tech doing the diag should be calling STAR with the information and they will advise or approve pulling and sending the engine to Arrow. This all should not take more than a day.

The regional rep was there the day I dropped it off and they said it was him who is waiting on the response.

I'll give them another day and then ask about STAR. Thanks Mark (again).
I wish I lived close enough to take my car to you.

Yo Dawg, that's a crock. Chrysler isn't going to tell them anything. Now they might have to run it by their Chrysler DM[district manager]for approval. In most cases the DM will visit the dealership and look to see why and how they came to their conclusion. My DM would be here in a day if I called him on a matter like yours or would even tell me over the phone if were sure of the problem just proceed. From one Dawg to another gotyere and put some pressure on to get things going !!!
