Extended warranty opinions..do I need one....how is this quote?

What did everyone get, and what did you pay?

I was quoted for a 5-years/60000 mile maximum care (which is really 2-years/24,000 miles past the new warranty.

$0 deduct - $1505
$50 Deduct -$1415
$100 Deduct -$1370

Does everyone think it makes sense to get one, and if so, what is the going rate from our friendly dealers?

And is there any items (not covered) on the extended warranty that concerned you after the fact.

Had the same questions (last month) and I bought the warranty. I wanted that peace-of-mind, that you get, even though I prob will put less than 1K a yr on the car...PS I paid less than what you have bee offered.

GET IT! Take the word of someone looking at possibly having to buy either a new or rebuilt tranny (since they are virtually UNrepairable) out of pocket you will thank your lucky stars you have it if you need it.
